The North Tahoe Community Alliance is seeking candidates for 1 open seat on the Zone 1 Committee 

  • One at large seat on the Zone 1 Committee* 

*the At Large position could be a Zone 1 assessed lodging business, or an assessed TBID business in general, or representative of an assessed business. 

The Zone 1 Advisory Committee makes recommendations on the use and implementation of TBID funds specifically allocated to eastern Placer County lakeside communities generated primarily by assessed lakeside lodging businesses. The committee is comprised of seven seats with four seats being assessed lodging business owners in Zone 1 or their duly appointed representatives and three at-large seats.

Committee Responsibilities: 

  • Committee positions require a two-year commitment.
  • Typically 1 meeting per month that lasts 2 hours per meeting. 
  • Additional time is required during the project review grant cycle processes and includes reviewing, ranking, and commenting on applications.  

Interested community members are invited to apply for a seat on the Zone 1 Committee by completing this form by October 31, 2025 by 5pm. Applicants will be notified before November 5, 2025 if they have been recommended to the committee for NTCA Board of Directors approval at their November 5, 2025 meeting. The North Tahoe Community Alliance is seeking candidates for 2 open seats on the TBID Advisory Committee 

  • One at large seat on the TBID Advisory Committee* 
  • One seat representing Olympic Valley/Alpine Meadows **

*The At Large position needs to be an assessed TBID business in general or a representative of that TBID assessed business.

** The Olympic Valley/Alpine Meadows seat needs to be assessed TBID business in the geographic area of Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows. 

The TBID Advisory Committee is responsible for advising the NTCA board of directors in the implementation of the Management District Pan (MDP) as it relates to the total TBID budget and how it is allocated and spent within areas of focus that include:  sustainability and mitigation of tourism impacts; economic development, transportation and other opportunities; Zone 1 specific services; business advocacy and support; visitor services and visitor centers; and marketing of responsible travel and stewardship initiatives, promotions and special events. The committee is comprised of nine members with a majority being assessed business owners or assessed business owner representatives.

The North Tahoe Chamber is thrilled to announce the commencement of Round 2 of our 2026 Event Funding program. We are currently accepting applications for events previously funded for at least one year and new events. Application is for events scheduled to take place at North Lake Tahoe between January 1 - December 31, 2026.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 9, 2026, at 11:59 pm

A total of $660,000 has been earmarked to support events in 2026 throughout the North Tahoe Region. We will fund up to $15,000 for first year 2025 funded events and new events, $50,000 for events funded for at least two years. Sponsorship will not exceed 50% of the applicant event's budget. These funds are generated by the North Lake Tahoe Tourism Business Improvement District (NLT-TBID) to foster events that contribute to community vitality, environmental stewardship, and economic health in the region.
