The North Tahoe Community Alliance is seeking candidates for a newly combined TBID Advisory Committee. The committee is being formed to merge the responsibilities of the former TBID Advisory Committee and Zone 1 Committee. This new structure streamlines efforts to guide the investment of Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) assessments generated by local businesses in North Lake Tahoe.
The TBID Advisory Committee will be comprised of voting seats held by TBID assessed businesses, along with a limited number of advisory non-voting seats representing regional community perspectives. The committee will recommend funding for projects and programs that support the MDP's priorities including economic health and resiliency, community vitality, and environmental stewardship, and may include projects and programs such as transportation, workforce housing, stewardship initiatives, community enhancement, and visitor-serving infrastructure. Funding recommendations will be made to the NTCA Board of Directors, who retain final authority over TBID expenditures.
Committee Responsibilities:
- Committee positions require a two-year commitment.
- Typically 1 meeting per month that lasts 1–3 hours per meeting.
- Additional time (6-8 hours) is required during the project/program review and grant cycle processes and includes reviewing, ranking, and commenting on applications.
Interested community members are invited to apply for a seat on the TBID Advisory Committee by completing this form by May 2, 2026 at 5 p.m. Applicants will be notified before June 1, 2026 if they have been recommended to the committee for NTCA Board of Directors approval at the June 3, 2026 meeting.
